Cleanvix
Cleanvix ("the App", package in.naveengfx.cleanvix) is developed and published by Naveen ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what data Cleanvix accesses on your device, how it is used, and — most importantly — what we do not do with it.
The short version
All of Cleanvix's cleaning and scanning features — storage analysis, duplicate/photo detection, file management, app management, battery/thermal monitoring — read and process data entirely on your own device. None of that ever leaves your phone.
Separately, Cleanvix uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google services) to help us understand app stability and usage. This is off by default and only turns on if you explicitly enable "Share crash & usage data" in Settings → Privacy. See the dedicated section below for exactly what that involves.
What Cleanvix accesses, and why

Analytics & crash reporting (Firebase — opt-in, off by default)
Cleanvix uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, both provided by Google, strictly to help us find bugs and understand which features are actually used. This is controlled by a single switch in Settings → Privacy → "Share crash & usage data", and it is off by default on every install. Turning it off (or leaving it off) does not limit any cleaning, scanning, or file-management feature in the app — everything works identically either way.
When you turn this on:
- Firebase Crashlytics collects crash logs and app-stability data: stack traces, the screen/feature active at the time of a crash, device model, Android version, and app version — so we can fix real bugs.
- Firebase Analytics collects basic, aggregated usage events (e.g. which screens are opened, which features are used) along with device/app metadata (device model, OS version, app version, general region derived from IP address). It does not collect the content of your files, photos, messages, or any personally-identifying account information — Cleanvix has no accounts.
- We have explicitly disabled Advertising ID collection in the app's configuration (
google_analytics_adid_collection_enabled = false) — this data is never used for ad targeting, because Cleanvix has no ads and no ad SDK. - This data is processed by Google as our data processor, governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's data processing terms, and retained according to Google's standard Firebase retention settings for our project.
- You can turn this off at any time in Settings, which stops new data from being sent going forward.
What we don't do
- No account or sign-up is required to use Cleanvix.
- No advertising SDKs are included in the app, and Advertising ID collection is explicitly disabled.
- No analytics or crash data is sent unless you turn on the Settings → Privacy toggle yourself — it is off by default.
- No file content, photo/video content, or message content is ever read by or sent to Firebase — Analytics/Crashlytics only ever see the metadata described above, never your actual files.
- No data is sold to third parties. The only data leaving your device (and only when you opt in) goes to Google's Firebase services described above — nothing else.
- No mock, sample, or placeholder statistics are shown as if they were real measurements; every number in the app is either a real system reading or clearly marked as unavailable/unknown until enough real data has been measured.
Permissions in plain language
- Photos and videos / media permissions — used only to scan and manage your media for cleanup features you initiate.
- All Files Access (
MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) — used only for the Files Manager and Duplicate Finder so Cleanvix can browse, rename, and delete files across your storage. Cleanvix only deletes files you explicitly select; it will never touch system, app-private, or protected folders (enforced in code, not just policy). - Usage Access (
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) — optional, requested separately, used only for screen-time, top-usage, and data-usage reporting. If you don't grant it, those specific screens simply show less detail; core cleaning features still work.
Data deletion
All of Cleanvix's cleaning/scanning data stays on your device — uninstalling the app removes everything Cleanvix has stored locally (including the small local battery-sample preference file). There is no server-side account to delete.
If you previously enabled "Share crash & usage data," turning it off in Settings stops any new data from being sent, but does not retroactively delete data already sent to Google's Firebase services. To request deletion of previously-sent analytics/crash data, contact us at the email below and we will submit a deletion request to Google on your behalf, or you can review Google's own data deletion options for Firebase-linked data.
Children's privacy
Cleanvix is a general-audience device utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If Cleanvix's data practices change further (for example, if we later add optional cloud backup), this policy will be updated and the in-app "Privacy policy" link will point to the current version before that update ships.
